A good number of other recruitment websites are picking up vacancies from our website and re-advertising them for you for free.

We also offer additional recruitment services including sourcing and engaging with candidates, designing and delivery of interview questions/assessment centre exercises, psychometric testing, and recruitment training.

How to create an effective advert

To attract the right candidates, your advert should be clear, engaging, and easy to read. Use plain English and avoid jargon, abbreviations, or overly complicated wording.

Include the following information:

  • Job title – Ensure the title accurately reflects the role, is easy to understand, and can be easily found in job searches.
  • Contract type – For example, permanent, fixed-term, temporary, full-time, or part-time.
  • Salary – Include the salary range or pay scale where possible.
  • Hours of work – Clearly state the working hours and pattern.
  • Compelling overview – Start with a strong, attention-grabbing sentence that summarises the role and the difference the successful candidate will make.
  • About your school – Explain what makes your school a great place to work, including any unique strengths, values, achievements, or benefits for staff.
  • About the role – Provide a concise summary of the position, what a typical day might involve, and what makes the opportunity exciting.
  • About the candidate – Describe the key skills, experience, and personal qualities needed to succeed. Focus on the most important responsibilities and outcomes rather than listing every task.
  • How to apply – Include application instructions, contact details for enquiries, the closing date, and the interview schedule.
  • Safeguarding statement – Ensure your school's safeguarding commitment is clearly included.
  • Inclusive Language - Use professional, welcoming, and inclusive wording that encourages applications from a diverse range of candidates.
