BASL Conference 2025

The Buckinghamshire Academy of School Leadership (BASL), in partnership with Buckinghamshire Council, are pleased to present the 2025 Annual BASL Conference for School Leaders, to be held at the Crowne Plaza, Stratford-Upon-Avon on Thursday 27th and Friday 28th March 2025.

This is an opportunity to hear inspirational guest speakers, network with fellow Headteachers, both primary and secondary and to visit an exhibition of companies and teams that supply and support our schools.

The theme this year is Authentic Leadership & Overcoming Challenges  Speakers attending are:

Thursday 27^th March

• Action Jackson Known for his dynamic energy, humour, and ability to leave a lasting impact, he has over 25 years of experience and has delivered talks to CEOs, entrepreneurs, and leaders worldwide.
• Amjad Ali Is a seasoned educator, trainer, and TEDx speaker with extensive experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

• Daisy Christodoulou Is the Director of Education at No More Marking, a provider of online Comparative Judgement software for schools. Comparative Judgement is an innovative, reliable and quick way to assess essays

Friday 28th March

• Michael Caulfield One of the UK's most experienced Sports Psychologists, with over 30 years in sport, business, and academia. After 15 years as Chief Executive of the Professional Jockeys Association, retrained as a Sports Psychologist. Provides support to athletes, managers, coaches, and executives to help them perform and cope with life's challenges
• Richard McCann His life changed tragically at five when his mother was murdered by serial killer Peter Sutcliffe. Today, he inspires audiences worldwide with his story of overcoming adversity. He founded the iCanSpeak Academy to help individuals and teams improve their presentation skills and communicate confidently and effectively
