Below is a message from Marc:

Thank you so much for joining Friday’s session. This is the start of a really exciting partnership, and I would like to thank everyone that joined in, contributed to discussion and debate, or simply just listened in.

This work will help to develop our disadvantage strategies in a evidence informed way, rotted in best practice. I hope it will give you the support you need.

The answers to addressing disadvantage in Buckinghamshire schools lies in Buckinghamshire classrooms and schools. It is important t that we develop a set of principles that help us to maximise this expertise. What we do in school really matters for our disadvantaged pupils, but it particularly matters for our disadvantaged pupils.

Our next workshop will have a sharp focus on what we are doing in our own settings. Please consider the following questions ahead of the session. It might be helpful to get a range of perspectives across school about these.

  • How are you developing a whole school approach to addressing disadvantage?
  • What challenges are you finding with this?
