Pay Import Files -When downloading, save the zipped folder to a convenient location. Please remember to unzip the folder (extract all files) and save the Guidance Notes and BOTH xml files to the SAME location. You must have the two Import Files saved in the same location for successful import into SIMS:
Reports - When downloading a report, please remember they must also be imported into SIMS after download. This zip file contains an updated version of SPS Safeguarding Reports Sept 23.RptDef relate to various reports for Attendance, Behaviour, Achievement, Homework and Staff Absence.
After importing into SIMS, the reports can be located:
Reports / Run Report / +Focus
Click on one of the following folders: Students, Staff, Contact, Behaviour to view the various reports.
There are no updated versions for 24/25 and these reports are not being supported anymore.
This is a suite of reports for both English Primary and Secondary Schools which allow for more detailed analysis of attendance and exclusions compared to national data. They have been provided free of charge by Delta Academies Trust and we are extremely grateful to the trust for having done so. The reports have been updated for 23/24.

2025 Pay Import Files & Guidance
There are two Import Files (including guidance notes) available for Schools who have converted to Salary Ranges ONLY.

The xml & signature file MUST be in the same location for a successful import into SIMS.
These are zip folders. Please download the relevant folder and extract the three files contained within to a convenient location. Import the absence report into SIMS. The guidance notes will explain the process.
To assist Schools in personalising this letter, addressing to individual staff, the SIMS Team has created a mail merge report for you to import into SIMS and run. This report template can be customised to include your School logo / header. The report contains two filters:
1. Bucks Pay staff only
2. Staff with a leaving date which is null or is after today’s date. The leaving date is after filter is set at prompt at runtime so the date can be amended.
Collaborative working with the Attendance Team at Buckinghamshire Council has resulted in two SIMS reports which will populate fields required to be completed. Not all fields can be extracted from SIMS. Please look at the example reports included in the zip file. Anything in red needs to be populated after the report has bee run. Anything in blue will be populated by SIMS.
