Wellbeing support

Wellbeing support for Buckinghamshire schools

At Buckinghamshire Council we recognise that school leaders, teachers and other education staff require support to recognise and understand the range of children and young people’s reactions and to know how to support them, their parents and carers and their colleagues.

It is also important for all school staff to be able to access good mental health and wellbeing support themselves, with clear information on how and where to access appropriate specialist support.

Good mental health and wellbeing are very important to our schools and a good support network is vital.

We endeavour to provide a wide range of strategies and practical help from several teams in Bucks, such as Public Health, Educational Psychology and the School Improvement Team as well as reputable external bodies such as Mind and Trauma Informed Schools.
