The locality teams support schools and settings with existing Buckinghamshire EHC plans and with new EHCNA requests. These teams are split into two locality areas: North and South.

Each area is served by a dedicated team, comprising of:

• Locality Service Managers
• Senior Education, Health and Care Coordinators
• Assessment Education, Health and Care Coordinators
• Annual Review Education, Health and Care Coordinators
• Post 16 Annual Review Education, Health and Care Coordinators (EHCCos)

Assessment EHCCo

Pupils undergoing assessment are allocated to an Assessment EHCCo. The responsibilities of the Assessment EHCCo include:

1. Overseeing the assessment process.
2. Drafting Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans, also referred to as EHCPs, where appropriate.

Annual Review EHCCo

Pupils are assigned an Annual Review EHCCo once their EHCNA has been completed. The Annual Review EHCCo is responsible for:

1. Maintaining and updating EHC plans
2. Issuing proposed and final amended plans
3. Managing requests for changes of placement, where required
4. Ceasing EHC plans
