Supporting & Promoting the mental health & wellbeing of children with social workers
This course will explore some of the mental health issues likely to be experienced by vulnerable children and young people.
It will look at how to identify emerging mental health issues and provide ideas and strategies for professionals to help improve the wellbeing of this cohort.
Outcomes:
- Gain an understanding of the mental health issues which may affect children with social workers and the reasons for this.
- Identify when emerging mental health issues are presenting.
- Identify what support children with social workers will benefit from in schools to help them cope with their mental health difficulties.
- Identify strategies for promoting wellbeing for all children, including children with a social worker.
