The Award includes Bronze, Silver and Gold levels to allow schools to build upon their commitment to equality over time. Junior Internet Safety Ambassadors

Duration: 4 hours

This course is designed to enable young people to support their school with their Internet Safety message.  The course covers a wide range of topics including :

  • Cyberbullying
  • Personal Information
  • Think Before Posting
  • Social Networking & Privacy settings
  • Strangers Online
  • Where to find Help

A workbook is provided and each student receives a certificate and enamel badge when complete.

Students and teachers will gain ideas of activities they could do in their school, for example:

  • Create the school internet safety rules
  • Talk to children across the school about any e-safety concerns that they might have
  • Plan and deliver online safety assemblies
  • Promote Safer Internet Day and organise whole school activities
  • Keep parents and Governors up to date with current e-safety topics
  • Help others learn how to be safer online
  • Support teachers in using new technologies, apps and software in lessons
