Equalities Award
The Award includes Bronze, Silver and Gold levels to allow schools to build upon their commitment to equality over time. Junior Internet Safety Ambassadors
Duration: 4 hours
This course is designed to enable young people to support their school with their Internet Safety message. The course covers a wide range of topics including :
- Cyberbullying
- Personal Information
- Think Before Posting
- Social Networking & Privacy settings
- Strangers Online
- Where to find Help
A workbook is provided and each student receives a certificate and enamel badge when complete.
Students and teachers will gain ideas of activities they could do in their school, for example:
- Create the school internet safety rules
- Talk to children across the school about any e-safety concerns that they might have
- Plan and deliver online safety assemblies
- Promote Safer Internet Day and organise whole school activities
- Keep parents and Governors up to date with current e-safety topics
- Help others learn how to be safer online
- Support teachers in using new technologies, apps and software in lessons
