This training is delivered by The Virtual School and addresses the facts and myths about FASD.
The training covers: history of alcohol in pregnancy; sentinel facial features of FASD (formally FAS); risk factors; diagnosis; characteristics and behaviours.
We also explore how to support these children and young people in the school environment.
Outcomes:
- Gain an understanding of FASD and understand how it may present
- Gain an understanding of how FASD may be diagnosed
- Consider what support schools can provide to children and young people who have FASD
