Buckinghamshire Council Appropriate Body Paperwork
Last updated:Appendix – Buckinghamshire Council Appropriate Body Paperwork
Schools will be expected to use the Progress Review and Formal Assessment templates on ECT Manager but are welcome to use their own in-house documentation for recording other induction evidence such as lesson observations or meetings for example.
Below are some templates (A-C) that schools can use for this purpose if they would find them helpful. Schools would be expected to provide evidence of use of these templates (or their own versions) during any quality assurance or monitoring visit conducted by Buckinghamshire Council.
Progress Reviews
The progress review should be completed by the Induction Tutor electronically on ECT Manager in Terms 1, 2, 4 and 5.
Formal Assessments
The formal assessment should be completed by the Induction Tutor electronically on ECT Manager in Terms 3 and 6.
A: ECT Meeting Record Sheet
The Astra ECT Meeting Record Sheet may be most useful for the Induction Tutor to use when meeting with the ECT to monitor progress but could also be used by the Mentor to document discussions they have with their ECT in their meetings if they do not have an alternative template to use as part of their ECF programme.
B: Teachers’ Standards Evidence Form
The Astra Evidence against Teachers’ Standards document is a working document that could be completed by the ECT throughout their Induction Period as a record of how they are meeting the Teachers’ Standards.
C: Lesson Observation Form
The Astra Lesson Observation Form could be used for formal ECT Induction lesson observations.
